What Ethereum could contribute
Atomic settlement could execute the entire agreed trade chain or leave everyone’s inventory untouched. Signed offers could keep negotiation offchain, while settlement would still cost gas.
Current status
The concept needs an enjoyable trading game and a reason to value its items. There is no marketplace, token, rental scheme or earning opportunity live today.
